BEING COMFORTABLE WITH OTHERS - IN SILENCE...

Sometimes words just complicate moments and relationships. It's not always a bad thing, but i am constantly surrounded by people that love to talk. I am curious about, and search for friendships where two people can relate in a space together with no, or few words - without it being weird or awkward. It's not that there's nothing to talk about: more like, there's everything to think about, experience and just be, without having to shower or be showered in a verbal waterfall.

Before i knew what meditation was, or the 'sound within' I wanted friendships that were more about the energy and connection shared, and less about knowing everything about that person, the small talk of the day or what this person can offer me.

I want friendships that can endure the awkward silences and reach the 'COMFORT SILENCE'. A large part of reaching this space is about being comfortable with self and ones own silence. It's like a meditation - turn off the chatter, and the ideas and inspirations will flow. When no space is left for these things, they probably won't come.

I want friendships that are more about ideas and inspirations and less about 'the weather' and 'the news'...
